What an amazing weekend at The Lunenburg Symposium: Mentorship in the Arts! The team at Visual Arts Nova Scotia would like to thank our partner, Lunenburg School of the Arts, for the spectacular venue and all the support, particularly from Hilda MacDonald, Doug Bamford, Andrew Maize and Senator Wilfred Moore. Thanks to our engaging guest speakers and panelists Shawna Dempsey, Zachary Gough, Eva Verity and Kathy Vuu (of Mammalian Diving Reflex), Iris Hauser, Cate Francis, Sarah Crawley, Peter Dykhuis and Annie Macmillan for their insight into mentorship in the arts. We would also like to thank all our enthusiastic participants who came from across the country to join the discussion.

We couldn’t have put all this together without the support of Arts Nova Scotia, The Canada Council for the Arts and Total Museum and Fine Art Services. Also, many thanks to Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance for the amazing concert on Saturday night.
